This house is a rebuild on a large lot in an established neighbourhood in South Kitchener. The sloping topography provided the opportunity to tuck the house into the grade. The main floor of the house is a warm brick mass that sits atop a textured concrete base. The second storey and main entrance glass foyer is wrapped by wood slat screens. The materials are complimentary in tone while providing contrast in weight and lightness.
